- American Honda sales total 110,346 units in October (+2.1%), despite supply issues that limited availability of key models. Sales of light truck and electrified models remain strong for both Honda and Acura brands.
Honda
- Honda brand sales passed the 1-million-unit mark in October, one month earlier than 2023, with sales of nearly 100,000 units (99,499) for the month (+2.6%) maintaining strong annual sales momentum despite supply issues.
- Honda electrified sales of over 30,000 units were led by hybrids – with CR-V and Accord topping 50% hybrid mix, Civic sales over 26% hybrid, combined with Prologue EV sales of 4,130 units.
- CR-V sales top 30,000 units for the 8th time in 2024, with October hybrid sales representing 52% of mix
- Honda light truck sales are up 15% for the year with 71,355 units sold in October
- Pilot sales of 11,927 keep it #1 in segment, up 27% YTD; TrailSport models a strong 16% of October sales
- HR-V sales of 11,512 keep gateway model up 28% in 2024, with sales over 10k every month of the year
- Prologue continues strong momentum with sales over 4,100 units
- Ridgeline sales top 4,300
- Odyssey remains #1 in segment, with October sales of 6,041
- Civic sales top 16,500 units with Civic hybrid contributing 26% of sales in just 3rd full month on the market
- Accord hybrid sales represent 54% of October sales
Acura
- Acura brand sales total 10,847 units in October with strong demand despite supply issues for key models
- Acura SUV sales up 12% for October despite lean inventory as some models transition to 2025 model year
- RDX remains up 14% for the year on October sales of 3,719 units
- MDX October sales of 3,904 units were up 7% despite lean inventory. Upper trims represent 21% of sales mix with Type S and A-Spec models both over 10% in 2024
- All-electric ZDX has best sales month since launch with 1,212 units as the all-new electric SUV is averaging over 1,000 units over the past three months; ZDX Type S represented around 20% of sales in October
- Acura sedan sales topped 2,000 units despite limited supply… with Integra continuing to capture over 50% of sales in its class and TLX Type S sales around 16% for the year
