LOS ANGELES , November 27, 2024 (press release) –

Dura Supreme Cabinetry and UltraCraft Cabinetry, both brands of MasterBrand Cabinetry, will close their manufacturing facilities in Statesville and Liberty, North Carolina next year, resulting in 270 employees facing layoffs, Woodworking Network reported Nov. 26. Dura Supreme Cabinetry will lay off all 74 workers at its Statesville facility and close the location, while UltraCraft's 213,000-square-foot facility in Liberty will also permanently close, leading to the layoff of 200 employees. MasterBrand aims to optimize its manufacturing network and will move the Statesville and Liberty facilities to its Kinston Operations Facility. MasterBrand invested nearly $14 million in expanding operations to Kinston and adding 450 jobs over five years in 2021. Associates interested in moving to another MasterBrand facility can apply for jobs and will be offered relocation assistance.
