Sodexo to acquire Compass China Management Services and Shanghai Eurest Food Technologies Services in mainland China; deal expected to be completed later in H1

SHANGHAI , February 5, 2024 (press release) –

Sodexo has just signed an agreement with Compass to acquire Compass China Management Services Company Limited and Shanghai Eurest Food Technologies Services Co. Ltd. in Mainland China.

- This agreement is a strategic move for Sodexo to enhance its footprint in Food Services in Mainland China, reinforcing Sodexo's strong and continuing commitment to the China market.

- The completion of the sale and purchase of the shares is subject to validation by the relevant authorities. Sodexo in China , together with Compass Group will engage with clients, suppliers, and employees in Mainland China to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

- In the meantime, prior to validation and closure of the deal, Sodexo China and Compass China, along with its subsidiaries, will continue to operate as separate and independent companies. The transfer of ownership is expected to be completed in the first half of 2024 following pending validation.
