A high-class specialty paper provider in Europe has placed an order for Procemex OnePlatform Web Monitoring & Inspection System for their paper machine and Automatic Target Control (ATC) for two slitter winders.
The system will be commissioned in Q3/2023. This marks the impressive 73rd repeat system order from the company within the past two decades, highlighting the longstanding partnership between Procemex and the client. The system to be delivered will replace the existing web monitoring and inspection system in full.
The delivery includes a high-resolution Web Inspection System with two transmissions (base paper and reel) and several reflection measurement geometries for the top side of the sheet for complete surface analysis and product quality assurance. Automatic Winder Target Control (ATC) is used to optimize efficiency on both winders. The fully Integrated Web Monitoring System includes 28 Procemex Flex high-speed smart cameras and powerful Procemex Eco strobe lights plus two moveable camera units.
Each camera position incorporates the latest Procemex ProClean pinhole technology, ensuring uninterrupted visibility to the sheet and minimizing maintenance efforts. Additionally, the re-reeler will be equipped with high-performance Crystal cameras, enabling high-resolution, distinctive Procemex 3D-defect detection for final quality inspection.
Procemex OnePlatform solution allows seamless system expansion with truly integrated wet-end web inspection (Pinhole WIS) and machine vision applications.
