With its silky smooth top layer, improved stiffness, increased volume, bright white finish and excellent printing and finishing capabilities, Algro Volume combines strength, functionality and printability, all in one package.
Sappi Europe, a leading manufacturer of packaging, specialty and graphic papers, is pleased to announce the launch of Algro Volume, the latest addition to the Algro family of papers. This high-performance sulphate board , manufactured at Sappi Europe’s Maastricht mill, is ideal for demanding and sustainable packaging and graphic solutions .
Luis Mata, Director of Packaging & Dye Sublimation, highlights the enormous potential of the new product:

Algro Volume is versatile and strong. It meets all expected standards, including odour neutrality, toy safety standards (no heavy metals) and suitability for direct food contact according to BfR XXXVI, FDA and Austrian Food Law. Made from 100% virgin fibres, it is fully recyclable and can be supplied with FSC Mix Credit (FSC™-C015022) or 100% PEFC (PEFC/07-32-76) certification upon request.
Algro Volume is available in both sheets and rolls and is ideal for high-end packaging and demanding graphic applications. It supports various finishing methods, including embossing, varnishing and foil lamination. Possible applications include promotional materials, covers, cards, labels and tickets, as well as packaging for pharmaceutical, confectionery, food and beverage products, as well as beauty and personal care products.
Algro Volume is available in various grammages, ranging from 220 g/m² to 380 g/m², and is suitable for offset, flexo and screen printing processes.
