NYMOLLA, Sweden – Multicopy ®, part of Sylvamo  the world’s paper company, is releasing a new sustainability resource and projects reinforcing its commitment to a lower carbon economy and the well-being of all.

An interactive sustainability map highlighting Multicopy’s journey from sustainable forest management to responsible operations and community engagement is now available.

Highlighting both the brand and the Nymolla mill where it is produced, the interactive resource guides users through the paper making process, demonstrating how Multicopy is produced in the most responsible and sustainable ways.

"As part of our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Sylvamo discloses the carbon footprint of Multicopy NEXT paper, Sylvamo's carbon reduction targets and the climate projects supported in partnership with Climate Impact Partners," said Marie-Claude Ritt, social responsibility and sustainability manager, Europe.

Community reforestation in Ghana: This project restores degraded forest reserves with tropical hardwood teak trees and indigenous areas degraded by over exploitation, bushfires and agriculture.
  • The goal is to expand around 1,000 hectares per year, adding new project areas and improving livelihoods through reforestation.
  • The project delivers emissions removals to reach climate action sustainable development goal 13.

Degraded land afforestation in Uruguay: This Forest Stewardship Council ® certified project combines sustainable forestry with cattle grazing to rehabilitate degraded grasslands.

  • Objectives include sustainable wood production, land restoration and carbon sequestration through afforestation.
  • The project removes over 7 million tons of carbon emissions over its lifetime to support climate action sustainable development goal 13 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aimed at eradicating poverty and fostering a sustainable world.
